In order to pass Assignment 1 you will need to: • Identify quantifiable gaps in your knowledge and personal skills through the process of completing a gap analysis utilizing and producing documentation required for the application process currently in operation for industries relevant to your course.

• Extremely thorough analysis showing extensive knowledge of how the initial activities have enabled you to evaluate gaps in your knowledge and personal skills based on the requirements of your chosen industry.
• Outstanding evaluation with examples of your strengths and weaknesses, stating how you currently meet person specifications.

HOW TO PLAN THE WRITING

• An introductory summary of 1,000 words. Use Word. Do not ‘chunk’
• Heading? Title?
• Analyse how the initial activities have prepared you for work.
• Look back and check what we have covered so far. List them. Which are important to your work applications.
• Comment on the use of social media in the form of a WIX website and the benefit of ‘Linked In’ to promote yourself
• Analyse how the Skills Audit has enabled you to evaluate gaps in your knowledge and skills.  What does analyse mean? What does evaluate mean?
• Comment on how the interview with an employer and additional research into the company enabled your to understand what they are looking for and tailor your documents.Mention details of the interview, the research, what they are looking for, how you can tailor your documents.
• Also on the current requirements of the industry.Research using a variety of academic, business sources, newspapers,professional bodies, stats and more – wider reading is good if relelvant
• Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses against the requirements of person specifications for the positions you hope to gain after you graduate.

In addition you will need to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, identifying how well you currently meet person specifications for the sort of positions you hope to gain after your first degree. 2.
