Amanda Wheaton was a 23-year-old Caucasian female that presented with complaints of sore throat, fever, headache and swollen cervical lymph glands for two days. She was febrile with a temperature of 101.5 and reported that she has been taking Tylenol for pain and discomfort. Amanda stated that her roommate was sick a couple of weeks ago. On examination, her tonsils were mild to moderately swollen with bilateral pharyngeal exudate and erythema and cervical lymphadenopathy.

Create an episodic/focused note about the patient in the case study
Provide evidence from the literature to support diagnostic tests that would be appropriate for each case.
List five different possible conditions for the patient’s differential diagnosis. Your primary diagnosis should be at the top of the list. For each diagnosis, provide supportive documentation with evidence-based guidelines. Justify why you selected each.
Create a plan care for patient’s final diagnosis.
Support your work with least three different references within the last five years (one or two reference from current evidence-based literature from your search and two different references from this week’s Learning Resources).
