Create and record a podcast that explores the foundations of being numerate in early childhood contexts in the 21st Century. This podcast will adopt and make visible multimodal expression. In this Podcast you will draw on concepts, ideas and encounters with numeracy undertaken over the first three weeks. This will inform your podcast’s content. In your podcast you will speak generally and cater to ages infant – 8 years.
As part of your podcast creation you will consider your personal and professional experiences in relation to becoming numerate and provide a critical and analytical discussion on being, becoming numerate. In this you will explore mathematical concepts, numeracy pedagogies and mathematical experiences, attitudes approaches and the importance of connecting learning to children’s lifeworlds.
The podcast employs conversational language and makes use of multimodality in its expression and articulation.
