This module strategy embraces the idea of fluidity – of learning and work spaces, technologies and modes of learning. Student engagement is critical to successful learning, and the module team aim to empower independent learners, facilitating them in becoming effective and internally motivated learners. Students will be encouraged to take initiative for their own discovery and generation of understanding, leading to confidence in their abilities.

 

The student cohort will have a range of classroom based, self-directed and online educational experiences, fully supported by an active online presence. The module structure will include face-to-face days of study within a traditional classroom setting, but these will not form the core of the students learning, but rather be designed to reinforce and supplement learning activities online and from their own experiential learning in the workplace. Methods of delivery will include workshops based within a flipped classroom model and lectures, as well as online methods of teaching and learning including online discussions, podcasts, video readings which will be integrated into a cohesive whole.

Students will submit a 500 word personal statement as if for a job application.
